PEG CITY CLUB BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Fall/Winter CBL + Spring Target Score Series

Peg City CBL gives Manitoba club teams a structured competitive pathway from fall through spring, with Fall/Winter league play, championship playoffs and the Spring Target Score Series.

New for 2026-27, clubs can reserve their Spring Target Score Series teams during Fall/Winter registration, making it easier to build the full season into club budgets and player fees from the outset.

What is CBL?

For Parents/Players: The Peg City Club Basketball League (CBL) offers a premier competitive environment for middle school players (11U-14U) to enhance their skills and prepare for advanced levels of play.

To participate, athletes must successfully try out and make a competitive club team. Open tryouts typically start mid-August.

For Clubs: The Peg City Club Basketball League (CBL) provides Manitoba club teams with a competitive winter league featuring weekly competition, standings and championship playoffs. Beginning in 2026-27, CBL also serves as Manitoba’s official qualification pathway to the Canada Basketball 14U Club National Championships.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 14 games, including:

* 12 regular-season games

* 2 playoff games

Standings determine playoff seeding for the CBL Championship Tournament.

🇨🇦 Road to Club Nationals

New for 2026-27, the Peg City Club Basketball League is Manitoba’s official qualification pathway for the Canada Basketball 14U Club National Championships.

The two boys’ and two girls’ teams that advance to the 14U (2013) CBL Finals will be selected to represent Manitoba at the national championships in Niagara Falls over the May Long Weekend.

National Championship entry fees will be covered for the selected Manitoba teams.
